Physalis Plant. Physalis plants are mainly grown in the garden for their attractive lantern shaped seeds. Of these 124 are accepted species names.
These can be dried out and used as part of floral arrangements. One of the more commonly quoted was p. Physalis peruviana l., the cape gooseberry or goldenberry has been known by many synonyms, but none are in current use.
